Fallen tree

The weather is terrible. Very hard wind combined with nasty rain. And lots of it.
One tree on the road to my house apparently gave up. It blocked the road. When I arrived one of the drivers was already working on the problem. He apparently happened to have a chainsaw with him and was calmly freeing the road, ignoring the dense rain. Almost heroic (remember, we are in Italy where people shun the rain whenever they can).
I thanked him for his work when he beckoned me to pass. Got a cool and macho look back. Apparently he also thought he was a hero.
Rightly so!

I love heros like him – what a cool guy!! Terrible weather today – I hope the tiles stayed on the roof!
